All promotions are solely based on the following criteria:
Advance 2 Ranks - Hold a Knight Admin. position (see Admin. Positions)*
Advance 1 Rank - Hold a Knight Deputy position (see Admin. Positions)*
Advance 1 Rank - Hold a Job in Adventure*
Advance 1 Rank - Squire 5 individuals who are Knighted
Advance 1 Rank - Assist in 3 and Organize 2 of your own Knight Events
Advance 1 Rank - Queen's Favor (Granted by the Queen at Cermonies)**

The only rank not achievable by the methods described above is the High Knight Regent who is the head of the Knights of Adventure. That post can only be filled by a vote of the Knights Council (Knight Regents) and a final approval by the Queen***. The candidate cannot be a Royal (have a NL position or higher) or step down if he/she is a Royal and wishes to become the new High Knight Regent. A High Knight Regent keeps the position until he/she decides to step down or the Queen officially requests that the individual steps down.

*Note: Although the rank will be granted immediately, if the same job/position, or a similar/better job/position is not held for at least 4 months the rank will be removed. After the 4 months, the rank will stay regardless of job/position. But remember, all Knights are expected to stay involved in the community.

**Note: This can only be granted once per Knight, thus a knight cannot gain two ranks for two Queen's Favors.
